More about Fall Jobs

In the next couple days I have to clear out a room in my home that I've been working on for some time now and just need to do the last bits. I need to sort/bag all cans and bottles to take to the depot and sell. I need to clean a LOT of stuff out of the carport to make room for my trike to be put away for the winter, and for pellets to be stored so they can be used for heating my home. I have a lot of yard work to do as well, tho I know the chances of me getting that done are slim. The plums are nearly done. There are still loads of them in the trees, but with all the rain we've been having the plums have been splitting, so my jam plans are falling apart in front of my eyes. I want to make a lot so I can give a bunch away as Christmas gifts and have a good amount left for my own use. I also wanted to put plums in the freezer to use during the winter months. I guess I'll have to do what I can for now and do more next year.

Fall Jobs

I've been working as much as possible over the last few days, getting read for winter. There is just so much to be done before the weather turns colder and my low back hurts so much that I'm having a real challenge with doing the work. Having deteriorated discs and arthritis is not fun... no, really, it's not fun. Anyway, I've managed to make some plum jam and pick enough plums to make another batch and even have some on the stove right now, cooking down so I can put them through the sieve to remove the pits. These are small plums so the pits either have to be removed this way or by using a cherry pitter tool to push the pits out. Yes, these plums are about the same size as cherries. I did a bunch of dishes and cleaned out the sink tht has been heaped with 'stuff' for months. This place is such a mess and I so need to get it cleaned up.... and I hurt... and I am overwhelmed. I need to be looking for a new vehicle as my old truck is getting... well.... old. He's rusty and has fairly high miles so needs to be replace. I don't want to have to install/uninstall snow tire chains every time I enter/leave my driveway, so will for sure be needing a 4 wheel drive. I'm looking at getting a nice truck. When I take breaks from working to rest my back and hopefully reduce the pain, I do some searching on the 'net for my "right and perfect" truck.

Online Auction

I was checking out my Hotmail to see if anyone had sent me an email or anything and I clicked on an ad for an online auction place. Just out of curiosity, mind you. I went there to see what they had and what kind of prices things are going for. I would really love to get an iPad one day as I saw one a guy had and thought they are really cool and as my laptop gets older and needs replacing I think I'd rather get an iPad than another laptop. First though, I will do a bunch of research to make sure it really is what I want and that I get it for the best price I can. I see that an Apple iPad 32 GB Wi-Fi sold for $22.53. One catch though.... on top of what you pay for the item you also pay $0.60 per bid and this could add up pretty quickly if you have to bed a lot to get the item. During the last 10 seconds, if you bid a penny or more the timer resets to 10 seconds then ticks down and say it gets to 5 seconds remaining and someone else bids a penny, the timer resets to 10 seconds. This can go on for quite some time.

I can see where it could be a lot more pricy than it appears so I would be leery to bid there unless I had lots of money available.

Mom's Trips to the US

As some of you might know, my Mom likes to go away fur a weekend in August, to the Omak Stampede and World Famous Suicide Race. (It's a horse thing, Bark!) Anyway, we live in Canada and Omak is in Washington state, USA. Always before in all of history, we have had friendly boarders woof the USA, where you could go across the boarders from Canada into the states woof just yur drivers licence or birth certificate, or something like that to prove who you are and where you live. Now, the USA doesn't want to be so friendly anymore. They are making it so Candians have to get a passport to be able to go across the boarder into their country. People from the US can still come to Canada woofout a passport cuz Canadians are still friendly. I think that if Canadians have to have one of those to go to the US, then Americans should have to have one to come to Canada... but hey, I'm just a dog. Anyway, so Mom had to give it a lot of thought... is it worth the cost of having a passport just to go there fur 2 or 3 days, one weekend, out of a whole year. It costs lots of moneys to get a passport and they are only good fur a certain number of years, so she thinks it's kinda dumb. BUT she also does like getting away fur that weekend. So... I think Mom is going to get herself a passport soon.

More Random Barks

Hi... it's me again, hey, show else did you expect? It's my blog, arf arf arf.

Just thought I'd give you a few random barks so you know what Mom & Me are up to these days, and a few other things too.

- Mom started a new job at selling online advertising. She hasn't really started yet, but will this week.
- Hoomans wear Asgi shoes and dogs don't.
- Mom bought a new Book Store... it's a online store that has books to help hoomans improve their lives. She's real happy cuz it means lots to her to help peoples be happier and healthier.
- Mom has to give a speech in a contest tonight and she's not feeling ready to do it yet.
- Mom's got a bit of a headache again, so she's going to lay down fur a bit before she has to go out fur the rest of the day and evening.
- Mom's stupid cat is curled up woof Mom, cuz she knows I can't get to her right now. She still snarls and spits at me and runs away if I'm even in the same room fur a second.

Random Barks

- Woof Mom's new job I can go to work woof her. Sometimes she'll be making phone calls from our home, and sometimes visiting restaurants and stores, and I get to go woof her and wait in the truck 'til she has time to take me to the dog park.
- Some people think that these pills are the best fat burner. I'm just a dog, but think that trips to the dog park work best fur me; arf, arf, arf.
- Out cat, Mewsic, is still scared of me and she gets all hissy and spitty when I try to get near her. Stupid cat.
- The other day I went to sniff the parrot and think I almost got my nose bit. Stupid bird.
- With this wonderful warm, sunny weather we've been having, Mom & I get to go to the dog park more often than we did in the real hot summer time.
- Did I ever tell you I like going to the dog park?
- At the gas station where Mom gets the truck big drinks, they give me doggy cookies. I likes it there.

Great News

My hooman Mom is so excited 'bout a new job, a better way to buy me doggy cookies and maybe raw meet in the near future. This is what she said on her blog...


I'm really happy and excited to announce that I have just gotten a job/career/mission with a pay cheque. Haha. I have not had a paying job in many years because of the problems I have with my back and depression, but this one should work out. The owner of the company, Ray, goes to my Spiritual Centre and he knows I've got back problems and depression issues, and he's okay with that. On days I am in too much pain to get out and go on appointments, I can do phone work and emails... at home so I can do it laying down if need be, or work a bit and rest, work a bit and rest.

What I will be doing is helping to reduce the use of paper in advertising, while helping store & restuarant owners reduce the cost of their advertising and making it easier for the consumer to find information on products and sales. Want to know what a certain restaurant has on their menu, or for that days special? Traveling and want to find a good restaurant that serves steaks? or Chinese food? Go to your computer, or your cell phone that connects to the internet, and bring up dininginbc.com. Wa Laa... I believe I will enjoy this work, be doing something good for the health of the planet, and help small business owners to save some money... all while enjoying myself. How's that for great?

Random Barks

- The weather sure has been nice the last few days. It nice to have it back like it should be, all the rain gone fur now.
- Mom & I have gone to the dog park more this last week than we did in real hot or rainy weather.
- I love going to the dog park
- A few days ago, Mom broke one of the gates off the rack on the truck, so now she has to have it tied on there to keep me safe.

- Dogs can't fly on planes woofout being locked into a cage and put away woof all the suitcases and stuff like that. Sound aweful!!

Alphabet Photo Challenge - - W is fur Whine

Whine! My slave my secretary... Mom is too tired tonight to be my typist and do the work I need her to do. You see, Rottweiler feet are too big to work right on this little laptop computer. If I do my typing it would look something like this kf;kasdj f;adsjfijdifh ;fadii. So, I hypnotize Mom and take over her body woof my mind so I can say things about her and she won't know about it. Like I can say how mean she is going to bed before I get my "W" post up. And I can say she torchers me by not giving me raw meat all the time. I can also admit that I love her a lot. Whenever she gets out of the truck and goes into a store or something, I sit and watch fur her all the time she's gone.

Anyway... I know Mom has a very big and full day tomorrow, but I think she'll find time to sit here and let me take over her body fur long enough to do my "W" post... so watch fur it!

Sheeesh!!

Just want to let you know, Mom & I have been doing a lot of blogging lately, and Mom is getting burned out woof it. Well, I tell her what to type fur me cuz my big rottweiler foots don't work too good on the laptop keyboard. Woof doing my bloggy and hers, and traveling around to world to visit other bloggers and leave comments there fur both of us, it has gotten to her. So that means she needs a short break from blogging every day.

Don't worry, I don't think she's gonna be able to stay away fur long... and I knows that when she feels up to it, she'll catch up woof all the Alphabet Photo Challenge letters and probably other stuff too.

Mom Needs HELP

Hi everyone. Mom and I both did a lot of blogging this week, and we did a lot of memes. We did Manic Monday, Heads or Tails, Thursday 13, Friday Fill-Ins and Friday's Feast. At some point, in all the hundreds of other peoples blogs we visited, we saw a couple blogs that had done a 'newer' photo meme that is done on Sundays. It's about posting photos of critters. Mom and I want to do this one, hey, Critters R Us around here, so we never have any lack of piktures we can post of critters that live or have lived here woof us, or of critters in fields or at other peoples homes.

What we need help woof is finding it again. We thought we saved the link to the web site, but now we can't find it! This is TERRIBLE.... we really, really, REALLY want to do this meme, so need help to find it again. If you know any thing about this, please leave a message fur me. THANKS.

EDIT: Never mind... I sniffed it out fur Mom, so we got it now. Camera Critters is the one Mom was lookin' fur. We'll both be posting some piktures here on Sunday.

BARK, BARK, BARK!!!

I'm very happy and excited today!!! I finally get to tell you what I've been noticing over the last few days. Mom is getting healthier!! She seems more awake and is obviously not in as much pain as she usually is!!! This makes me VERY happy cuz I loves my Mom.

Wanna know why she's feeling better?? She's taking a new product... not just new to her, but pretty new on the market too. To save money on the product Mom signed up as a distributor of the product. Now that she's feeling the start of the benefits from it, she's decided to tell people about it so they can get feelin' better too... and peoples they love too. I think every hooman should go read Mom's web site and watch the cool videos there too.

I'm 63 Dog Years!!!

Hi every critter!! Our internet was broken for days and days... well, almost 3 of 'em anyway. It was awful!!! I couldn't come and post anything and I lost an assignment that would earn me cookies. It was sposed to be done by today. I thought I'd have 'til the end of today, but it's already gone. Whimper Whine. But anyway.....

I turned 9 years old in human years yesterday!! That's about 63 dog years! It's a good thing that I'm still healthy and able to run and play like a puppy, cuz otherwise I might need a stair lift to get up the steps into the house. Getting into the back of our truck would be impossible then without some kind of a lift. I have to be able to jump up into the back of the 4x4 which is much higher than a car or a 2 wheel drive truck. But that's not an issue yet, cuz I'm healthy as all get out and I still run and play like a puppy. In fact, recently I was up at the dog park with Mom again and got to playin' real hard with a couple youngins. We had so much fun and almost knocked people over a couple times cuz we forgot to pay attention to them as we ran and chased each other around. That's hard work for an old woman like me.... arf, arf, arf.
