Bridging The Gap - Day 1

This is Day 1 of this new Photo Challenge, hosted my my hooman Mom at her blog, I Was Born2Cree8.

In May, 2007, Mom & I went to visit our friend Cam how lives in the Kootenays, & to meet our friend Claire who was visiting from Scotland. Before we left, we took a real nice long walk along the river, and up into the mountains. This kinda doesn't have a bridge, but hey, I'm a dog, what can I say.

This pikture shows a sign woof a bridge painted onto it. They were doin' their best to raise money to build the bridge.

This is where the bridge was going to be built. Cuz it's over a year now and we haven't been back since, I don't know if they got it built now or not... but I sure would like to know. I hopes we can get back there one time soon and see if it's done yet or not. This fall would be nice, or next spring would do too. All we needs is money fur gas!!

Here's a pikture of me. I know, I know, I's all blurry, but I wanted to show you anyway, cuz I was just a few feet from where the bridge is being built. I just moved real quick as Mom pushed the camera button... arf, arf, arf.

Hope you liked these pikture memories of mine.
See you all tomorrow too.
Bark!

When they build the bridge, are you going to cross it, or get stiff-legged and scared because it sways?

I like your picture of the bridge in progress and of you. Great idea for a new challenge. Not sure if I'll have time this week to post every day but I love bridges so I'll come up with some. I'll also announce your mom's challenge when I do my weekend snapshot post and come up with a bridge for that a little later today.

Now I'm curious as to whether they raised the funds for the bridge. Looks like a beautiful area...

Man, it took a long time fur me to get to answer some of what you said here… Mom has been on the ‘puter almost NON-STOP. It’s hard to get her off it.

Quilly – Sways? SWAYS??? Oh. Well, I’m not quite sure. I’ll have to let you know. I never been over a bridge that swayed before so don’t know what it will be like. Guess if Mom goes I will have to go too.

Carver – Thank you fur your nice words. Bark! It’s good you’ll tell everyone ‘bout Mom’s bridges. Hope you’ll come play woof us. Oh, don’t furget to bring dog cookies!!!

Mar – Thanks. I do too. When it’s there people and their dogs can walk up one side of the river, then across the bridge, and back on the other side. That’ll be fun.

Carletta – Yip, I sure did like sniffing around there. My nose is very powerful, even more than lots o’ other dogs I think. I’z always sniffing at something. Sometimes I sniff real deep in Mom’s tummy, making sure she’s healthy.

Juliana – Thanks very much. Me too.

Ellen B – Me too. If/when I find out, I’ll let you all know. We have a good friend that lives there, but Cam can’t walk. You kin take a scooter part way up there, but not as far as the bridge site. Maybe I’ll get Mom to email Cam anyway, cuz he might know even though he can’t go up there hizself. He’s the president of the Legion there, so knows loads of people and maybe some of them walk up there like we did. Maybe he even knows the peoples what are building it.

Minkydo – Thanks. Glad you likes it.
